So I was speaking to my dad the other day, and he aroused my curiosity for business once again. Thus from now on I am going to be writing mainly about financial news. Lets see how this goes :D

Yahoo! to Support NOODP Tag
Yahoo! announced that it will Support the NOODP Tag. For those of you who do not know, NOODP is a meta tag initially implemented by MSN and later Google that enables webmasters to opt out from having the search engines display the Open Directory Project (ODP) information in the organic SERPs. Search engines are designed in such a way that they typically display a site’s title tag and a snippet of body content or the 'meta' description to form the listing that is displayed within the SERPs. So far, webmasters have not been able to leverage their title takes and content to create attractive calls in instances when Yahoo! has opted to use the ODP listing. But according to Yahoo! this will change and webmasters will have the ability to tell Yahoo! not to use the description from the ODP directory.

Remember the Milk
Remember the Milk is a new way of remembering to do things. Its basically a web application in the form of a calender to remind you of tasks that are coming up. It also has a nifty little gadget, and a Google API so that you can add it to your Google Calender. It can also be added to Google Maps such that you can point to locations on a map. For example if you have to pick up something from a certain store, the store's location will be pin-pointed to you on Google Maps. Besides all the functionality, it is also very very cute :D
